I have been lucky enough to see Taekwondo develop from a handful of students practising in small welsh church halls to a full blown Olympic sport.
I have also witnessed many of my students go on to achieve great things in their lives, both inside and outside the sporting arena in today’s large and busy world.

Stephy Hollands Stephy Hollands
Hello, I’m Stephy (www.stephyhollands.com)
I am 16 years old and live in a small sleepy village called Usk, which is just outside Newport. I would say that I am a very sporty girly-girl and currently enjoy practicing taekwondo and horse riding.

I have been practicing Taekwondo with Master Stone for approx 8 years firstly starting in my village and now at the Pontypool class  Over the years I have obtained a 2nd degree black belt and competed in a few Championships, I’ve also enjoyed horse riding since I was ten years old and it’s plays a major part in my life.
I usually ride a huge horse named Freckles, he is slow and lazy, but very friendly. I love jumping with him as he is very strong and jumps very high. I hope one day to compete in show jumping competitions and win rosettes.

My favourite breeds of horse are heavy horses such as Shires, but also the Fjord pony because its main sticks upright! As well as riding horses, I am also an equestrian photographer.

I have always enjoyed watching show jumping and horse racing on the television, and now I photograph it as well. My best technique for capturing jumping horses is to stand in front of the jump, this way I can photograph the horse in flight.

However, this is sometimes very dangerous!! Equally, I enjoy capturing horses and ponies relaxing in the fields. I hope to study photography in college next year and fulfil my dream of being a photographer.
